Joel Mara

Joel’s main inspiration is the beauty of the West Coast. It seemed a natural progression to express these feelings on canvas. He wants other people to see and experience the West Coast through his paintings with an aim to create a feeling of "being there". After attending the Capilano College Illustration & Design program, he began painting more and more landscapes and found it to be a satisfying experience. Some of the first places he chose for painting were Crescent Beach and White Rock. Later he began painting places in North Vancouver such as Lighthouse Park and Whitecliff Park. His work is displayed in Victoria, BC at the West End Gallery, as well as the Adele Gallery in Whistler, BC. Visit the site below to learn more...

Anya Marnet

Many of my paintings capture the rhythms of nature. Colours, texture and movement work together in harmony with many layers of visual intrigue – similar to a symphony orchestra that works together to create a single experience: An experience that can be enjoyed over and over as new nuances are discovered.
