Jutta Kaiser

"The varying moods of nature are the source of my inspiration. By observing, I create recognizable but imaginary objects or landscapes that translate images and impressions into shapes and colour. I work with Mixed Media to realize my goal - using a myriad of materials to achieve a variety of textures. My palette consists mainly of warm colours, including Acrylide Yellow, Alizarin Crimson and Paynes Grey. By layering many of these in the form of washes, I am able to achieve greater depth of color."  Visit the site below to learn more...

Katsumi Kimoto

Originally from Ucluelet, BC, on Vancouver Island, Katsumi Kimoto is inspired by the rugged west coast landscape. His abstract work works with colour, texture, movement and depth, often to emulate the beauty of the Pacific. "Abstract artwork for me is truly about capturing the essence or feeling of something, in the paint, without painting the thing itself.”

Janna Kumi

My artwork draws inspiration from the function, form and pattern occurring in the small, seemingly insignificant or overlooked components of the natural world.  Trees hold a special interest. Among some of the largest organisms on earth, they support life itself by emitting oxygen and are interconnected in amazing ways with the broader ecosystem they inhabit.  I focus mostly on tree bark and wood – on its textures and colours, the life forms that find a home there - and to explore the ways trees communicate with their surroundings.
